Emirates has revealed that it’s expanding its flight network to include another direct route to Dubai from the UK.
For the first time, the airline will be offering a daily service to the city break hotspot from Edinburgh.
The service will be operated on the company’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which includes eight private First Class suites, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304 roomy seats in Economy.
Although the flights aren’t for a few months, you can already book your seats on the website with Economy fares starting from approximately £464 return.
As for passengers splurging on First or Business class, there’ll be a host of luxurious extras on offer – for example you could book complimentary chauffeur service to and from the airport.
The new route will launch on Monday 1st October 2018, which is ideal timing as the best time to go to Dubai falls between November and March when the temperatures are still hot but not unbearable.

Edinburgh is not Emirates’ first Scottish offering; the airline already has a route from Glasgow airport.
In fact, once its new London Stansted service to Dubai launches in June, the new Edinburgh route will be the eighth UK route on offer from the brand.
Hubert Frach, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, West said: “We’re increasing our capacity to Scotland to meet growing demand, and by introducing a daily flight to Edinburgh, it will complement our current double daily flights between Dubai and Glasgow.
“Edinburgh is a very popular leisure and business destination, and the new service will offer our customers from across our global network, particularly from key inbound markets such as Asia and Australia, a direct option to the city via our Dubai hub.
“It will also be a more convenient point for travellers from the greater Edinburgh area, and beyond, such as Aberdeen and Dundee, to travel with Emirates to Dubai and onward to destinations across our network.”
The new service will also enable Emirates SkyCargo to offer up to 20 tonnes of cargo capacity, meaning local businesses could increase popular Scottish exports such as salmon and whisky.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport, commented: “This is a fantastic announcement for Edinburgh Airport as we welcome another world renowned airline to Scotland’s busiest airport, which will enhance our connectivity with the Middle East and further afield.
“We’re delighted to welcome Emirates on board and further expand our international choice for the 13.4 million passengers who use Edinburgh Airport every year.
“This service will cater for leisure and business passengers, providing daily links for international tourism and trade opportunities both inbound and outbound.
“We look forward to working with Emirates to provide a top class service for passengers and ensure the success of this Edinburgh to Dubai route.”
