Children look on in horror as mass brawl erupts at popular holiday park

Children were left looking on in horror as a mass brawl erupted at a popular holiday site on July 6.

The terrified kids could only watch as men landed blows on one another in the toilets of one of the holiday resort destinations.

The incident, which occurred at Prestatyn’s branch of Pontins in Wales, left one dad fuming as the events unfolded.

According to Birmingham Live, the event unfolded in broad daylight at 3:30pm in the afternoon.

The furious father stated that £50 notes could be seen strewn across the floor as police arrived at the scene, going on to add: “As soon as we got here there was a big fight in the gents toilets.

“One man was taken to first aid, there must of been 15 officers on the scene.

“We seen lots of £50 notes in an evidence bag and then the gents toilets was cordoned off and searched by police. This was witnessed by my young children.”

He added: “The man was kicking and screaming in the back of the police van. There was still a police presence in the camp five hours after the initial incident.”

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Police received reports shortly after 3pm yesterday of an incident at Pontins holiday camp in Prestatyn where a man was assaulted.

“Officers attended alongside the Armed Response Unit and colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

“Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault and have since been released on bail whilst investigations continue.”
